The warehouses of Accell Nederland and Accell Hunland have implemented the Voicepicking system. The warehouse employees hear a spoken order through their headsets when picking the bicycle parts. This results in fewer errors during picking and shorter picking times. Employees also require less time for training.
The Accell@Work project is implementing the new cloud-based workplace throughout the entire Accell Group. This workplace will facilitate (international) cooperation and communication in an optimal manner. A clear adoption strategy with training courses among others, will make the users familiar with this new way of working.
The Supply Chain can lower overall stock and costs with the implementation of the Slim4 stock optimisation software, whilst increasing the level of service. Slim4 uses analytical methods and techniques to make an analysis based on two years of sales history. This gives a reliable forecast for at least 95% of stock and automatically creates optimum purchase orders for standard articles. Users are warned about the exceptions they should pay particular attention to.
All new software and modifications in existing systems are tested by the FAM team, in accordance with the test plan drawn up in consultation with the users. The software is implemented once the modifications have been approved.
